Meditation
Wikipedia describes meditation like this: Meditation describes a state of concentrated attention on some object of thought or awareness. It usually involves turning the attention inward to the mind itself. Meditation is often recognized as a component of Eastern religions, where it has been practiced for over 5,000 years. It has also become mainstream in Western culture. It encompasses any of a wide variety of spiritual practices which emphasize mental activity or quiescence. Meditation can be used for personal development, or to focus the mind on God (or an aspect of God).

Heart Meditation
The Heart Meditation is a meditation using the mantra "God is Love" and focusing on the heart - and unconditional love. You are introduced to this meditation by an initiation ceremony. This initiation helps you to guide the energy flow stimulated by the meditation into your heart chakra, and to deepen the experience of "God is Love" in contact with your own love and truth. After the initiation, the mantra "God is Love" is the guiding thought in your meditation. At first, you are likely to be interrupted by your own recurring thought patterns.
This is down to an initial lack of concentration and will disappear with regular practice. Through the mantra- recitation, you create a sphere above your thoughts which you can access any time- a sphere of total calm. The recitation of the mantra normally takes place in a daily morning and evening meditation of 15 minutes.
It is possible to meditate more often. More important than the odd longer
meditation is regularity, which should be independent of your emotional ups and
downs. The mantra should be used in your mother tongue. A prerequisite for the
initiation ceremony is that your body is completely free of drugs. Before your
initiation, take some time to explore your innermost wishes concerning your
inner path.
The initiation into the Heart Meditation is independent of a religious faith.
It is free and brings responsibilities and rights only towards yourself.
